Jasmine Rose Oberste, MSTCM, RH, holds a Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco and is a Registered Herbalist with the American Herbalist Guild.

Jasmine brings to her work an integrated perspective of complementary healing modalities. In addition to extensive training in Herbal Medicine, she has studied, practiced and taught courses in Chinese medicine, Chen style Taiji, seasonal self-care and nutrition.

She interned with Dr. Robert Johns, author of The Art of Acupuncture Technique, in Berkeley, California and at the Tzu Chi hospital in Hualien, Taiwan, as well as completed advanced studies in Pulse Diagnosis with Brian La Forgia, LAc, a teacher of the Shen-Hammer system based on the teachings of Dr. John H. F. Shen. She also apprenticed with Liu Ming studying Daoist nutrition, the Chinese calendar (jié qì 節氣), seasonal diet therapy and Feng Shui.

Clinically, when strong mental or emotional blocks present, she uses Depth Hypnosis with clients, a modality developed by Dr. Isa Gucciardi, that helps to shift and release long-held patterned beliefs, to unblock stagnation and to reclaim one’s own energy.

In addition to her clinical practice, she has taught comprehensive review class in Chinese medicine at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco,  herbal medicine as continuing education privately and at ACCHS in Oakland, and Shi Liao (Chinese Medicine Nutrition)  at Pacific Rim College in Victoria, BC.

She enjoys spending time with her daughter, supporting the development of student gardens and curriculum using a permaculture model, fibre arts and playing music.
