Dr. Jasmine Rose Oberste, is a doctor of Chinese Medicine, registered herbalist, and licensed acupuncturist in California, Hawaii and the United Kingdom. She completed her masters of science and doctorate at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco.

Dr. Jasmine brings to her work an integrated perspective of complementary healing modalities. In addition to extensive training in Herbal Medicine, she practices Chen style Taiji and has taught courses in Chinese medicine, Chinese diet therapy, Chinese herbal medicine, seasonal self-care and nutrition.  

She interned with Dr. Robert Johns, author of The Art of Acupuncture Technique, in Berkeley, California and at the Tzu Chi hospital in Hualien, Taiwan, as well as completed advanced studies in Pulse Diagnosis with Brian La Forgia, LAc, a teacher of the Shen-Hammer system based on the teachings of Dr. John H. F. Shen. She also apprenticed with Liu Ming studying Daoist nutrition, the Chinese solar-lunar calendar (jié qì 節氣 Qi Nodes / Solar Terms), seasonal diet therapy and Feng Shui.

Clinically, when strong mental or emotional blocks present, she uses Depth Hypnosis with clients, a modality developed by Dr. Isa Gucciardi incorporating Buddhist understanding of the root of suffering and shamanic techniques for shifting releasing long-held patterned beliefs, to unblock stagnation and to reclaim one’s own life energy.

In addition to her clinical practice, she has taught comprehensive review class in Chinese medicine at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco,  herbal medicine as continuing education privately and at ACCHS in Oakland, and Shi Liao (Chinese Medicine Nutrition)  at Pacific Rim College in Victoria, BC.

She enjoys spending time with her daughter, pottery and time outdoors.
